Our Stories:
The Coming Out of Our LGBTQ Youth

Documentary Screening and BBQ

Please join us for the screening of the documentary project created by some of our MYTE youth! Don Alger of Small Potatoes and Fresh & Easy will graciously be catering the event this coming Saturday, June 14 th at 12:00. Summer projects are underway for the MYTE program. Please inquire about our upcoming art-based workshop series on healthy relationships. Youth age 18 and under are welcome to attend!

It's Legal! Join With Your Partner In Matrimony at The Center LB!

On June 17, from 3pm to 6pm, the Center LB will be marrying couples on our site in the Darryl Fine Room. Couples will be taken in half hour increments (six slots will be available). Then at 7pm, The Center will have one large Mass Wedding and reception afterward.

If you are interested in participating in these services, you will need to get all of your paperwork done ahead of time (paying for and turning in registration in person at the Registrar's office). You can apply for a license from the Los Angeles County Registrar as of 5:01pm on June 16, and then we will have an officiate (Reverend Sunshine Daye ) perform the ceremony and sign the license.

The addresses of County offices, and license applications, can be downloaded at the County Website, but both people need to go to the County Registrar 's office to turn it in (with valid ID and birth date). Some valid ID's include driver's license, passport, resident alien card, and state ID card. The address for the County Registrar is on the web site and the fee for license is $70. Read The Requirements. Go directly to the application here.

A fountain of chocolate along with fruit for dipping will be provided at the Mass Wedding by Don Alger of Small Potatoes Catering (www.tinyspuds.com).

Other finger foods will be provided. We are providing the space, officiate, and food for free, but ask simply that people give a love offering to ensure covering minor overhead and costs.

This is an historic occasion which has been long awaited by our community. Come and join us.
