MARCH ON BROADWAY
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7 AT 7:00 PM!
Everyone I have spoken to in the last two days has expressed a variety of emotions…hurt, anger, fear and depression. Most people just want to be able to do something. So we are. We are taking a stand. We are letting our voice be heard.
Tomorrow night (Friday, November 7), we will march up Broadway in protest to the passage of Proposition 8. The march will begin at Redondo and Broadway and end at Hamburger Mary’s. Be sure to come early so we can begin on time.
In our numbers we are strong! All over the country these types of peaceful and passionate demonstrations have been occurring... now it's time for Long Beach to make its presence known. We hope to see you there!
At the end of the march, you will hear speakers talk about …
- The plea before the California Supreme Court to invalidate Prop. 8
The writ on behalf of EQCA and 6 couples
The rights of those who are already married
Remember, we want everyone to be safe. Do your part to protest but within the spirit of non-violence.
