Summer of Solidarity Mural Concept Workshop

  • Bixby Park 130 Cherry Avenue Long Beach, CA, 90802 United States (map)

Join us for a Mural Concept Workshop, hosted by Mural Colors, where you will have an opportunity to express your unique experiences and insights to help shape the design of a new mural for Bixby Park that highlights the diverse histories and contemporary stories of Long Beach’s LGBTQIA+ community.

MuralColors will lead us through an exploration of identity and community–the first step to creating a meaningful artwork. Please feel encouraged to bring any relevant objects and photos that you believe would help represent community histories and experiences. Any objects or photographs you bring will only be used for reference during the workshop.

Food will be provided at the event.

The Mural Concept Workshop is part of the Summer of Solidarity Mural Program, an initiative of the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations’ LA vs Hate campaign. It is presented in partnership with The LGBTQ Center Long Beach.

Please RSVP online here.
