Dan Pitre first reached out to the Center in 2010 to provide volunteer professional IT services. In 2011, Dan was promoted to a staff level position to serve as the Center’s IT Director. Dan is also President of e-Pitre Solutions, an IT service provider with a focus on nonprofit and education organizations. Dan has a strong passion for social justice work and community service. Dan became a member of the City of Long Beach Assistance Team – a group of community volunteers trained to provide services to victims of hate crimes – in 2010. Dan also serves as Co-Chair and Programs Coordinator for GLSEN Orange County (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), a local chapter of the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Through his role with GLSEN Orange County, Dan has collaborated with The Center’s youth services department to implement GLSEN Professional Development training to Long Beach Unified School District educators.
