Stella Ursua, Board Vice Chair, serves as Outreach and Partnerships Manager at GRID Alternatives-Greater Los Angeles, and is President of Green Education, Inc., both local non-profits focused on connecting disadvantaged communities to clean energy, healthy homes and sustainable neighborhoods. Stella is the Founder of Southern California’s largest annual Earth Day event, the Green Prize Festival, which recognizes local sustainability leaders, and green industry experts, and promotes the transformation of communities to more sustainable, healthier and equitable environments. She has approximately 25+ years of successful experience in Leadership & Employee Development, Human Resources, Community Engagement and Workforce Development.
Stella is very active in her community and serves as a Commissioner for the Long Beach Parks & Recreation Commission, an Environment Commissioner appointed by Assembly member Mike Gipson-AD 64 and was recently appointed to the San Pedro Bay Ports Sustainable Supply Chain Advisory Committee. She is proud to serve on the board of The LGBTQ Center and looks forward to supporting the growth and expansion of The Center and its services for our LGBTQ community.
