Over the past 25 years, Tyler Leshney has worked in, and led, organizations across a wide range of sizes and industries. His dogged determination, analytical precision, and growth mind-set coupled with a leadership style characterized by personal kindness, caring, organizational rigor, and enthusiasm, has enabled him to build value and high performing teams in a scalable, ethical manner.

Graduating with a BA with Honors in Government from Harvard University in 1995, Mr. Leshney began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst for Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., in New York City. Following his analyst program, Mr. Leshney, a Connecticut native, moved to California, joining Trust Company of the West’s Crescent Mezzanine Group as an Associate. Then the largest Private Equity/Mezzanine fund in the country, Mr. Leshney evaluated myriad organizations and industries during his three-year tenure and included investments in the apparel, mining, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, and health care industries.

In 2000, Mr. Leshney joined the venture capital backed Broadband Sports, Inc. – an early leader in the creation of athletes’ personal websites, fantasy sports player information and syndicated sports content. Mr. Leshney focused on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures where he worked with several marquee professional sports franchises and many top-level international athletes. In 2002, Mr. Leshney followed members of the Broadband Sports leadership team into the entertainment services space at Liberty Media’s Livewire Corporation, later renamed Ascent Media. During a nearly five-year tenure, Mr. Leshney held a variety of senior leadership positions and roles. He began as Vice President of Corporate Strategy and M&A where he led the acquisition of several complementary organizations, including a major division of Sony Electronics Corporation. Mr. Leshney moved into operations, leading day-to-day management of the company’s Media Division. He helped lead the move and integration into the company’s 105,000 square foot facility in Burbank, CA – the largest single media services facility in the country to this day.

Seeing the struggles that organizations faced preserving, digitizing and storing their media assets, Mr. Leshney joined Deluxe Entertainment Services and founded Deluxe Archive Solutions in 2007. Mr. Leshney was ultimately elevated to the position of Senior Vice President of Operations and reprised his role as Head of the Media Division following the acquisition of his former company, Ascent Media. During this period, he was known as an industry innovator, a speaker at industry events, and was elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of Moving Image Archivists. Mr. Leshney left Deluxe to join LAC Group as Executive Vice President in 2013. Focused on library, information management and archival services, LAC Group works with law firms, government agencies and entertainment studios providing specialized staffing and consulting services. Mr. Leshney led LAC’s acquisition of The Kodak Corporation’s Pro-Tek Vaults, the world leader in high-end motion picture film storage and preservation services.

In June of 2015, Mr. Leshney was named President of Ultra Mobile, a mobile provider on the T-Mobile network. Inc. Magazine named Ultra the #1 Fastest Growing Private Company in America that year with Mr. Leshney responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, including management of over 300 employees across over 30 states and four countries. He was also instrumental in the launch of the company’s second brand, Mint Mobile, which recently took on actor Ryan Reynolds as a co-investor/spokesperson and is the leading online provider of low cost no contract mobile service.

After nearly two and a half decades of faced-paced corporate culture and constant change, Mr. Leshney decided to leave Ultra at the end of 2018 to spend more time with his family and pursue interests in social, philanthropic, and entrepreneurial arenas. In the Spring of 2019, Leshney was appointed to the Belmont Shore Parking and Business Development Commission. Mr. Leshney was also elected to the Board of Directors of the LGBTQ Center – Long Beach in December of 2019. Leshney is currently working side by side with his wife, Stephanie, on a business venture of their own called Dabble & Dollop. The brand creates ultra-mild mixable children’s bath and body products that can be found at www.dabbleanddollop.com. Mr. Leshney lives on Naples Island in Long Beach, California with his amazing wife of 15 years, Stephanie, his daughter Nora (11), his son Parker (11), his daughter Paige (9), and their six-pound rescued shih-tzu, Boo (7).
