Zaya graduated from California State University, Long Beach and fell in love with the city. She began volunteering with at-risk youth in 2009 and in 2015 began her career assisting young adults with varying ability levels to transition into independent living, find employment, and pursue higher education. Zaya aims to utilize her experience in program coordination and individual client support to develop the Trans Health program’s comprehensive spectrum of care. She has a diversified background, ranging from information technology to musical performance, and looks forward to using these skills to create innovative programming at The Center.
In her free time, she enjoys writing and performing music, playing with new technology, and spending time with her two cats, Puppy and Kitty.
