Becoming a Volunteer
Step 1: RSVP for one of the following Volunteer Info Sessions below and complete a volunteer application at the informational-
Step 2: Meet the minimum time commitment.
Step 3: Attend an assigned orientation.
Step 4: Review and sign paperwork.
Step 5: Submit personal info.
Normal volunteer hours occur Monday through Saturday. Evening and weekend shifts are available depending on the volunteer type.

Mental Health Internships
The Mental Health-Intern position provides opportunities for individuals to use their commitment of time and talents to engage, empower and advocate towards achieving a more equitable society and foster an ever-improving quality of life for the LGBTQ community through delivering mental health wellness services including intake, case management, and counseling services. The Mental Health Program assists individuals, couples, and families to enhance interpersonal relationships, improve healthy communication, decrease violence, address substance abuse, improve self-esteem and provide for a greater sense of safety and well-being in the lives of our community members.
Internship opportunities may include direct therapy practice with clients in individual, couples, family, or therapy modalities, or screening, intake, and case management to determine eligibility of clients into the mental health program and linkage to other community resources as needed.
The Mental Health Program is overseen by the Clinical Director who, along with a team of LCSW/LMFT supervisors, clinically supervises a team of MFT and MSW graduates, interns and clinical trainees who are registered in the State of California or assigned to gain clinical experience while in an accredited master-level or doctoral-level university program.
All interns and trainees are supervised according to the Board of Behavior Science (BBS) regulations and ethical guidelines respective to their registrations and field.
